A city, a plane, an invasion

Humanity’s Last Stand is a 3D aerial shooter set over London. The player pilots a warplane, fights invading enemies and upgrades the aircraft’s arsenal. The original portfolio also refers to this project as Pig Invasion.

What the project demonstrates

The gameplay capture shows the aircraft, a London environment, aiming and shooting controls, score, health and progression UI. The original project description documents enemy encounters, bosses and weapon upgrades.

Engineering context

The project uses Unity, C# and the Android SDK. A mobile aerial shooter connects input, flight behaviour, enemies, weapons and feedback within a real-time game loop. The System view maps these documented capabilities; it does not claim a verified source-level dependency graph.

Evidence and contribution

Michael co-created the game with one teammate, contributing across game design and programming. They built the game from the ground up. The exact task split and system-by-system ownership were not recorded, so this page does not assign individual features beyond those stated roles.

The screenshots and gameplay recording come from the original portfolio, and the public Google Play listing confirms release. The contribution summary is based on the creator’s account; the listing itself is not used to infer authorship.

Profiling and next investigation

A useful next capture would measure CPU and GPU frame time on a named Android device during a reproducible enemy encounter. No profiler capture, benchmark dataset, device matrix or release-to-source revision accompanies the current material. Performance improvements and failure incidents will be added only when backed by that evidence.

Project material

The image above is an actual gameplay frame. The short recording below is compressed from the original portfolio video; the full recording remains in the repository’s media archive.

Project in motion

Available capture: 20 seconds. A third-person aircraft flies over the Thames toward airborne enemies. The aiming reticle, health, score, experience and touch controls remain visible during the encounter.

Evidence record

The project capture and documented stack were migrated from the original portfolio. The contribution summary is based on the creator’s account; a release-to-source revision, testing history, failure reports and benchmark measurements have not been supplied.

System diagrams on this page describe documented capabilities. Profile and Source state explicitly which supporting materials are available.
