Exploring motion around a black hole

This Unity experiment visualizes particles attracted to a black hole and the formation of an accretion disk. The original portfolio contains three recordings: gravitational pull, an accretion disk and a visual-effects variant.

Technical scope

The documented stack is C#, Unity particle systems and compute shaders. The result is a real-time visual experiment. It is not presented here as a validated astrophysical model.

Reading the system

Particle population, gravitational attraction, the accretion disk and rendering are the concepts visible in the available material. The System view is a capability map, not a claim about the exact order of GPU dispatches or memory layout.

Measurement boundary

The available screenshot demonstrates the visual result. It does not establish a particle count, frame time, speedup or hardware configuration. Those values are intentionally absent from the Profile view.

Next investigation

A reproducible benchmark should state the GPU, resolution, particle count, time step, build configuration and capture tool. Comparing a fixed workload before and after a change would allow a defensible performance claim.

Project in motion

Available capture: 2.6 seconds. A bright, flattened disk surrounds a dark central region against a star field. The recording shows the luminous particle effect over time; it contains no profiler overlay or measurement data.

Evidence record

The project capture and documented stack were migrated from the original portfolio.Individual ownership boundaries, testing history, failure reports and benchmark measurements have not been supplied.

System diagrams on this page describe documented capabilities. Profile and Source state explicitly which supporting materials are available.
